External Refurbishment

Swainlands was appointed to deliver this project, which involved the erection of a scaffold on the pavement in Knightsbridge, adjacent to Harrods, to facilitate lead, slate tiling, and flat roofing works to replace the existing roof coverings.

Due to the high-profile location on a busy red route, with surrounding retail units and a nearby bus stop, temporary works presented a significant challenge. Successful delivery relied on detailed temporary works design and clear, proactive communication with all stakeholders, including the client, roofing teams, neighbouring retailers, and Transport for London.

The project delivered a safe, compliant, and well-presented scaffold solution, complete with hoarding and temporary lighting. This enabled efficient access for high-quality roofing works, with minimal disruption.

Upon completion, all temporary works were carefully decommissioned, leaving no trace and a long-lasting roofing solution in place.
